Every 15 minutes, a child is born with a congenital heart defect (CHD). These children often need multiple surgeries to treat their condition — sometimes before their first birthday.

At Renata, we are focused on serving unmet congenital needs by delivering safe and adaptable therapies designed for a lifetime of growth. In partnership with world-renowned physicians who dedicate their lives to treating children with CHD, Renata is driven to develop transformational solutions for young CHD patients.

Dustin 
Armer

CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

For nearly two decades, Dustin worked and managed teams in the Transcatheter Aortic, Transcatheter Pulmonic, and Tricuspid device spaces at Edwards Lifesciences. He has ample experience innovating and leading concepts from conceptualization to first-in-market solutions through commercialization.  

Dustin attended Purdue University where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Eason  
Abbott

CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Eason started his career at Edwards Lifesciences focusing on Transcatheter Pulmonic & Tricuspid devices. With over 10 years of professional experience, he has become well versed in designing and implementing delivery systems and implants with a focus on the pediatric space.  

Eason attended Duke University where he obtained a degree in Biomedical Engineering.

EVAN ZAHN, MD

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER

A world-renowned pediatric interventional cardiologist, Dr. Zahn has spent over 30 years designing and pioneering advanced procedures to treat congenital defects in premature babies and adults. Over his career, he has treated thousands of newborns with congenital heart disease.
